Risk aversion plunged on the positive news of the Russia-Ukraine talks. After several days of rising oil prices, the price of precious metals continued to fall. Domestic futures markets remain stable for the time being.
Back in international markets, WTI crude futures briefly dipped below $100 a barrel, while Brent crude hit its lowest intraday level in nearly two weeks. Spot gold briefly fell below $1,900 an ounce. Comex gold futures closed down 1.1 percent at $1,918.4 an ounce. Comex silver futures closed down 1.14 percent at $24.91 an ounce. "Recently, crude oil prices have been extremely sensitive to changes in geopolitical news." Traders believe that the current oil price is still in the broad impact, Ukraine will still be a premium in the case, although the market further decline, but should not be too pessimistic, it is recommended to wait and see for the time being. The Ukrainian premium is still there and there will be some volatility in the ZrSi2 Powder market.
Introduction to Zirconium Silicide ZrSi2 Powder
Zirconium silicide or zirconium disilicide, chemical formula ZrSi2, is a steel gray rhombic glossy crystal, the relative density is 4.8822. Zirconium silicide is insoluble in water, inorganic acid, and aqua regia, but soluble in hydrofluoric acid.
Physicochemical Properties of Zirconium Silicide ZrSi2 Powder
ZrSi2 as a zirconium-silicon intermetallic compound is a kind of ceramic material with high hardness, high melting point, high conductivity, high heat conductivity, and good thermal shock resistance to high temperature. Given the silicon zirconium - intermetallic compound has superior physical and chemical properties, ZrSi2 is a kind of structural material or new engineering material which can be used as the high-temperature corrosive medium.

Preparing Methods of Zirconium Silicide ZrSi2 Powder
Zirconium silicide can be obtained from a mixture of zirconium powder and silicon powder at high temperatures under air isolation.
A method for preparing zirconium silicide nanomaterial comprises the following steps:
1. Add 5mmol zirconia, 5mmol silicon powder, and 50mmol lithium metal into a 20ml stainless steel autoclave and seal it. Then put the autoclave into an electric furnace capable of temperature programmed, set the heating rate of the furnace to 10℃ per minute, and heat the furnace to 600℃. The reaction is cooled naturally to room temperature and the autoclave is opened to remove the product which is black sediment.
2. The reaction products were washed with distilled water, then respectively with dilute hydrochloric acid and anhydrous ethanol washing each time, after washing the product of the filter, then 60 ℃ in the vacuum drying oven drying 4 hours get zirconium silicide nanomaterials, based on the preparation of zirconium silicide nanomaterial quality and the quality of the raw material of zirconium dioxide used, it is concluded that the yield of zirconium silicide was 85%.
Applications of Zirconium Silicide ZrSi2 Powder
ZrSi2 can be used as fine ceramic raw material powder to make crucibles or semiconductor film.
Applications of Zr Zirconium
One of the most important applications of zircon is in the production of white pigment impervious agents for surface glazes and pigments in the tile and ceramic industries. Refractory applications are also a common use of zircon in the manufacture of firebricks and shapes used in the steel and glass industries. Due to its high melting point (2200℃), zircalite is used as casting sand for molds and as "flour" for grinding, especially in warmer applications where it is important to maintain the surface quality of castings. The area of expertise known as "investment casting" is the growing use of zircon in the industry. Zirconium is also used in the production of zirconia, zirconium metals, and zirconium chemicals.

Russia is a major supplier of industrial metals such as nickel, aluminium and palladium. Russia and Ukraine are both major wheat exporters, and Russia and Belarus produce large amounts of potash, an input to fertiliser. The price and market of the ZrSi2 Powder will fluctuate under its influence. Prices of these goods have been rising since 2022 and are now likely to rise further because of the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
